HOW DO I ADD A FORMSVIEWER VIEW IN MY FORM TEMPLATE?

 
If you are just starting to create a form template, start with section A. If you already have an form template in FormsBoard, skip to section B.
 
  1. Create a form template with a browser view
    1. After designing your form in the view, click Views in the design task pane and click Add a New View.
    2. Call the view “Browser”, click OK.
    1. Go to the view where you designed your form and copy the fields that you wish to display in the browser, and then paste them in the “Browser” view.
    2. Save the changes in your form.

  1.  Edit your form template to add a browser view
    1. Open the form template that you wish to edit in InfoPath’s design mode.
TIP: If you don’t have your form template in your local directory, you can download the XSN in FormsBoard:
    • Log in to FormsBoard.
    • Select your domain
    • Click the Document Type.
    • Click Edit DocType.
    • Click Download XSN button.
  1. Click Views in the design task pane and click Add a New View.
  2. Call the view “Browser”, click OK.
  3. Go to the view where you designed your form and copy the fields that you wish to display in the browser, and then paste them in the “Browser” view.
  4. Save the changes in your form and re-upload to FormsBoard.

  1. View the form in the browser
    1. After following instructions in sections A or B, go to your document type page.
    2. Select a document and click its Doc ID link. Your new browser view is displayed using FormsViewer. Note that there are features that are not supported in FormsViewer
    3. You can also access your form in FormsViewer using this URL format:
https://www.formsboard.com/QdabraWebService/Documents/<DocID>/form.xml?mode=browser
 
where: DocID is the document type ID of the document.
