HOW DO I ADD A FORMSVIEWER VIEW IN MY FORM TEMPLATE?
If you are just starting to create a form template, start with section A. If you already have an form template in FormsBoard, skip to section B.
- Create a form template with a browser view
- After designing your form in the view, click Views in the design task pane and click Add a New View.
- Call the view “Browser”, click OK.
- Go to the view where you designed your form and copy the fields that you wish to display in the browser, and then paste them in the “Browser” view.
- Save the changes in your form.
- Edit your form template to add a browser view
- Open the form template that you wish to edit in InfoPath’s design mode.
TIP: If you don’t have your form template in your local directory, you can download the XSN in FormsBoard:
- Log in to FormsBoard.
- Select your domain
- Click the Document Type.
- Click Edit DocType.
- Click Download XSN button.
- Click Views in the design task pane and click Add a New View.
- Call the view “Browser”, click OK.
- Go to the view where you designed your form and copy the fields that you wish to display in the browser, and then paste them in the “Browser” view.
- Save the changes in your form and re-upload to FormsBoard.
- View the form in the browser
- After following instructions in sections A or B, go to your document type page.
- Select a document and click its Doc ID link. Your new browser view is displayed using FormsViewer. Note that there are features that are not supported in FormsViewer
- You can also access your form in FormsViewer using this URL format:
